Abstract

Abstract

Optimizing renewable energy plays a key role in strengthening food security by meeting the energy needs of the agricultural sector in a sustainable manner. The overall objective aims to build a sustainable framework model for renewable energy sectors to guarantee food self-sufficiency. This overall objective is broken down into specific objectives which consist of assessing the impact of the energy transition on the components of food security, and establishing the evolution of the energy mix in the target area of the study with a view to proposing strategies for sustainable development of food systems. So, how can the optimization of renewable energy be implemented to ensure sustainable agricultural production, improve access to energy in rural areas, and thus strengthen global food security while limiting environmental impacts? The hypothesis put forward: knowledge of the characteristics of the energies used by households contributes to understanding their needs. The expected results are as follows: the different needs of households to achieve food self-sufficiency will be identified.
