Abstract

To fight fires in industrial installations, several methods are applied today. Here we propose the design and construction of a fire protection system in a high-voltage distribution substation to protect the power transformers in the event of a possible fire within the MMG company. Firstly, a general study on the fire networks in this type of sites was carried out. We then approach a complete description of the site, to identify the installations likely to trigger a fire at the main substation. Finally, we proceeded with the design and sizing of this vital network using the NFP standard for calculations, the TIA portal software for programming as well as system management and finally the FLUIDFLOW software to simulate and see the behavior of the system.
